30 Hour Volunteer Work Experience Volunteer work experience opportunities can be arranged through Mr Henderson. These introductory placements can often lead to a real job. Grocery stores, retail shops, building supply stores, restaurants and auto shops are just some of the businesses we work with.
WORK EXPERIENCE COURSES Work Experience courses allow students to earn credit towards graduation for bona-fide work experience. Work Experience courses may be offered as part of a school’s career programs or as stand-alone courses. Actual work experience may be paid or unpaid. For more information about Work Experience courses, contact Mr. Henderson
SECONDARY SCHOOL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM (SSA) Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) is the work-based training component of an industry training program, providing the opportunity to begin an apprenticeship while still in high school and to earn high school credits for doing so. Through family or business contacts, potential SSA students must find an employer (with trades-qualified employees) who is willing to register you as an apprentice in any of the recognized trades in British Columbia. For more information about SSA, contact Mr. Henderson.
